The renewing cream is a lot thicker in consistency. As far as what's in it, I believe the pm renewing cream has hyluranic acid and the SA moisturizer has salicylic acid for acne prone skin. The moisturizer is much lighter, not as heavy on the skin. **Q: I have used the CeraVE SA in the bottle, what makes the one in the jar different?** A: SA Cream is a rich consistency while SA Lotion has more of a lightweight texture.
