Remember your phone had the media so I stood using the app except for maybe here and there. You can control the movement from the app. I don't use their cloud though but that's just me. I have a few dji devices and the software is so so. It constantly has firmware updates, but if you have an issue email them or upload the issue to support and they'll have a firmware update pretty quick.
