They feel good in my hand, other when I'm using some of the larger handled knives with a pinch grip, my pinky likes to slip into the cut away portion of the handles. In some angles it assists in stability while others is a bit annoying feeling the somewhat sharp edges of the cutaway also my pinky gets loosely stuck.They all came sharp, at least most of the blade lengths, and pass the paper tests for vertical cuts. The duller areas on some were at the front tips and closer to the bolsters, about the same areas I am also inconsistent when using whetstones to sharpen.I have been using this set about 3 months, some knives daily others weekly or bi-monthly, and thus far haven't needed to sharpen them yet. I hand wash and dry them immediately after use, and they don't ever see a dishwasher to help dull them more rapidly.The individual blocks are handy. I take the small non serrated steak knives block to the dinner table instead of grabbing individual knives.
