This makes its cost competitive to others. The saddle mount system is well thought out and works but I can't help but be concerned when tightening it. I always feels like the ti pipe it goes through will split. I tighten it way past the tightness I would do on a regular saddle and the thing slips, then I tighten it more. The bolts end really sticks out when its tight. It hasn't been a problem though. After its tight, the thing does great and I have had my full weight on some bumpy brick roads (180lbs). Probably 200 miles on it. I don't want to grease it but maybe will try it. Friction grease possibly?
