I had a lightweight Petzl headlamp for decades and if finally died. I had to look long and hard to find one that made me as happy as the Petzl - this fits the bill perfectly! While I no longer hike rocky crags in the dark (this headlamp would work fine for that), I do feed horses, other needy critters, and hike around my feral hog, coyote, and rattlesnake infested property. The band is easy to adjust and you don't have to have it headache-tight to stay put because it is so light. This helps me see animals when in the red light option and avoid obstacles.
