My hips measure 37" and these fit very comfortably. Definitely not too small for me but they run smaller than what I would expect a "large" to run. The padding is foam, not silicone like I thought. If someone squeezed my butt they could definitely tell it was foam. Foam pads sit very high on butt so you have to wear very low in back but they do give me a nice round boost in my black yoga pants. Pads or lines are not apparent with black yoga pants.
