You can spend a lot of money to get the heavy steel and tempered glass but when I read the reviews and did the research, this one seemed to fill my need. The entire system ties to a T bracket, which with a little DIY design, mounted to the pole, and the result is fantastic. I really like the backboard design and the sturdy hardware. Escalade sports site has the instruction manual online and it is worth taking time to review. The manual shows the T bracket dimensions which allowed me to measure and design the two extra brackets (before purchasing) that allowed this to be a good option for pole mount. Assembly was easy. Instructions are very good. The hardware is well organized (see open box pic) and high quality. Also, the overall project allowed me to teach the youngster a little about design, assembly, and metal work. The hardest part is raising it up to mount. I used a rope and pulley, multiple ladders, and three people. You need to plan the raising/mounting task. Be safe and do not get in a hurry.
