Rinsed the blade, and the cup afterwards, put it back in the corner of the worktop, and that's it. Exactly what I wanted - quick and painless. I can't attest to its improved quality over other cheaper smoothie makers, but I can tell you that it's a quality product, well-thought-out, and all the accessories are equally-good quality. The cups, lids and handles are all made from tough, easy-to-wash plastics, and the motor is certainly powerful enough to blast through almonds, nuts, etc. I haven't yet used the milling blade, but I've no doubt it will do just as good a job. I use my nutri every day. You have to want it enough to make it a part of your daily regime.
