## Description

Reborn with uncompromising redesign, the All-Analog Platinum Pro EQ is a preamp that faithfully reproduces the detailed nuances of any acoustic instrument. The high-headroom class A preamp uses a discrete system to minimize distortion and deliver the fastest response. By combining Fishman's traditional tone circuitry with sweepable mid-control and guitar/bass EQ modes, you can create a wider range of musical sounds, including bass instruments, recording and live performances. The new Platinum Stage features key features such as adjustable volume boost and balanced XLR DI output, beautiful and sturdy design on the body. Platinum Stage, with belt clip, is also perfect for active players like mandolins and fiddles. It can also be used with a Phantom 48V power source and you can control the sound freely without using batteries.

I ran my banjo through this pre-amp and an old 9v battery powered amp (Orange Crush) and the sound was excellent. The clip design is also very convenient for adjust volume on the fly and gives it more of the feel of an electrical instrument, rather than adjusting on the ground where cables can clutter. A great pickup for acoustic instruments!
