Lastly what is important to me is that since micro four thirds cameras are half the sensor to the standard 35mm sensor, the larger the aperture the more shallow depth of field is possible (which is really the downfall of a smaller sensor)...... Another possibility is the Panasonic 12-60mm f2.8-4 which is what this camera is being marketed with, and is a good option but in another way. The Panasonic comes with image stabilization that is suppose to pair well with the Panasonic GH5 bodys in camera stabilization which is a plus, but at the same time it's not a constant aperture. This means that when you zoom in, the light coming in through your lens will decrease, which is truly annoying especially for video work. But another plus is that its zooming capabilities extend to 60mm, or 120mm compared to a 35mm sensor, and this is an extremely versatile range to have available. Overall they both have some pros and some cons, but the Olympus might be cheaper especially if its used since its its been out a couple of years, and the Panasonic is just now being released.
