A binge-worthy romp
Since I was kid, watching BTAS religiously, as well as rollicking adventure shows like 'Ducktales' and feel-good flicks like 'The Last Crusade' and 'Raiders', I have been a hopeless sucker for diesel punk, art deco and pulp fiction; and, by God, this season stole my weekend wholesale!I could not stop watching it. For one thing, Archer is much more likable than in any other season, period--less debauched, less drunk, and more personally motivated with a finite goal--so, structurally, I loved this season just as a single isolated story with a beginning, middle and a surprisingly heart felt end; one that (spoilers) redeems Archer while also spicing his death with some bitter sweet raunch. (spoilers over.) I loved 'Danger Island' most of all because, like 'Dreamland' Archer was a flawed but morally earnest agent. The writing sometimes failed that premise, for the sake of cheap burlesque, but the character retained, at the conclusion of both seasons, his humanity. Archer became "good" in both stories the same way Blondie in 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly' became "good": by simply having compassion for anyone but himself, and, in both seasons, acting heroically if impulsively. That's the aspect of Archer I like, when he's the show's resident lovable a-hole, not the show's resident a-hole full stop. It's not a perfect season, to be clear. No, there's still one too many fart jokes, and the show still scuttles anybody in danger of actually growing as a character, so it's hard to invest sometimes when you know any charm is going to be sacrifice for the sake of a tacky punch line. I love this season, and, actually, because it's one of the least crass, I would recommend it unreservedly to many of my friends and family.

Coma season so automatically points are deducted
Of the three coma seasons, this one was my favorite. It goes Danger Island, Archer 1999 and then Dreamland (which sucked). I hated Dreamland so much I literally stopped watching Archer for five years. Finally got back caught up because I think season 12 is going to be the final season, so I decided to rewatch from start to finish. Finally saw this one.I get it. It gave the writers a chance to do something creative after, something something they tried to use the plot to force the show to renew, or something, I don't really know. But it wasn't great television. You have to already love the characters and the people involved with the show in order to enjoy it, and that makes it only for a very specific type of fan who is willing to put up with coma seasons for THREE YEARS.

It's Archer! What's not to love!
Some of the plots seem to be a bit far-fetched, but the gang's all there and it's fun to watch.

Ok Season, rather short and all to familiar.
Can't say that I dislike it. Definitely felt very short and like this whole Cyril as the villain, Lahna as the love interest, Pam as the sidekick, Mallory as the owner, feels a little played out over the past two seasons. It worked in the past when they didn't have to reintroduce everyone, and I felt like it just had a better flow when the characters were more familiar with each other. But these past two seasons feel a little too "copy-paste", something Archer has been historically known not to do. The past seasons (before 8&9) all had the same character structure, but I was less of a focus in the general plotline like it was more about the story, and the character hierarchy just served to put each character in the best fitting place. Now it just kinda feels like they're focusing more on how the story fits in with the character, which might be the reason why the past two season have been rather bland, and nearly the same. But again, I love watching anything Archer, but being that every season prior to this deserves a 4+, I feel as if this is a rather large step in the wrong direction.

A must for collectors
Archer's humour is awesome, but this season lacks a bit of it. That's my opinion.Ordered twice, but the first time my neighbors stole it. No blame on Amazon, I was giving an exam for university so I told the courier to just leave it in the mailbox. I wouldn't had bought it again if it wasn't worth it. Maybe the most hilarious series ever, bit still the least funny chapter.
