It was PERFECT. The fabric is super soft and lightweight with a nice, satin interior. There are interior pocket, as well, so he can keep his Sonic Screwdriver in there. The large was perfect for an 8-year-old and comes to the top of his shoes. I was worried the jacket would look like a costume, but it doesn't.
