In fact, for you to fog it in the Activated state, you have to wear an air mask. For chickens, use it UNactivated. I put mine in a pump sprayer (mix a few ounces to a gallon of water and spray everything down). If chickens are sneezing, etc. I put about 5 ounces Oxine in a spray bottle with about 10 ounces water and mist it over their heads in the evenings when they are roosting (if the temp is not cold.). **Q: How much should I use per gallon of water to keep the chickens' water from getting algae/slimy?** A: It is recommended to put one fluid ounce of oxygen per 30 gallons of water ! There are 6 teaspoons in 1 fluid ounce so that means 1 teaspoon per 5 gallons of water .... or 1/5 teaspoon for a gallon ... as we don’t have a standard measure for 1/5 teaspoon I would round up to a quarter teaspoon per gallon. **Q: Can I use Oxine to disinfect my egg incubator?** A: Yes, just follow the mixing directions with non activated solution which is :Oxine and water. Keep the container where it won't get hot or cold temps. I don't think it's foggable, but it works very well for most other applications, including pre-sterilising hatching eggs before setting.
