If you flip through the pix, you will see that the item sold for approx. $9 is for a pack of 5? But I got these 3 years ago so all I remember is that I got a 5-pack. Agreed, I don’t see an option within this listing to choose size to select either 5 or 10 pack. My guess is that they set up the listing for a 5 pack and separately (somewhere?) set up a listing for a 10 pack vs making a drop down allowing either quantity. They should probably remove the mention of 5 or 10 pack and explicitly state “this listing is for a 5 pack” to eliminate the confusion. I keep it on a clipboard at work and it is constantly dangling with rubbing cord against everything. I saw very little deterioration of cord or clip. I used 4 pens all the way until empty. I think 9 dollars is too expensive but somewhere around 5 bucks is acceptable. This is better than the cheaper ones you will see and it is 24 inches which is perfect not too long or short. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing and work with regular or mechanical pencils also! *by K***U on September 12, 2022* Hope this helps someone as I read all the reviews and didn't see this addressed! I was looking for a PENCIL leash to add to my attendance binders for each class. Needed it to be pencils so that I can erase if a student comes in late. These come with bic pens but I hoped that they would work with pencils also. And YAY, they do! I've tried both regular pencils and mechanical and they hold tight inside the bic cover on the leash.
