At the start, they all floated which was to be expected. Now, after almost a week the majority of them have waterlogged and are sitting at the bottom. There are a few stubborn pieces that still float but that's just the way it goes sometimes. I'll weight them down with rocks or something. As for the tannins, they definitely needed the soak. But it's been 24 hours since the last water change and it's completely clear now. So I'd say to let them soak for at least a week before putting them into a fish tank. FYI, unless you want to wait days or months for the driftwood to fully soak and sink, you'll either need a good amount of substrate to shove it in or some glue to hold it down. Out of the 5 I got, only one would sink after a few hours soaking.
