I normally take a 40 in Dansko and that is what my current pair of professional clogs are however, the 40 in this style was too big. I then bought the 39 hoping it would fit. I was pretty sure it would based on how big the 40 was and thankfully I was right. I love the stability of the shoe. I love the Cordovan color as well. It's a rich red brown color that works with everything. The back strap is meh because I do prefer a slip on clog but this one is not too bad as I can set it and still slip my foot in without resetting the velcro unless I wanted to wear a pair of heavy socks which I mostly do not living in the PNW valley. For sure worth every penny and was very happy to find this pair on sale.
