There is a difference in the felts in the original kit made by Bucilla and the reproductions from Plaid. Even though there is a difference in the prices, remember that you put the same amount of work in a kit whether it is an original or reproduction. The felts bleed if they get wet but you may have to buy additional supplies with the retros. They are really pretty when finished but I bought the original Bucilla and don't regret it. All the sequins are included which make them sparkle ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ These felt orniments have so much detail and will look nice on our tree. *by A***E on August 7, 2018* I haven't started making them yet, but will soon so I can have them ready for the Christmas tree in December. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Big and dazzling *by M***Y on October 16, 2020* Beautiful ornaments and a great kit--though there was not nearly enough gold metallic thread. If you're worried about running out, make the gold-thread-intensive ornaments first, and maybe make the hangers out of narrow ribbon instead. I made the curls for the 9 ladies dancing by wrapping the yarn around a straw and spraying with tons of hair spray. Also, the 11 pipers piping are represented by a guy playing a trumpet, but whatever. These ornaments are BIG.
