Directions Apply the eyeliner as you would normally do, using the tip of the pencil to create thin or thick lines along the lash line or to fill in the lid. For eyeshadow, use the pencil to draw color onto the lid, then blend with a brush or your fingers for a smooth finish. The product can also be used as a highlighter, applying it to the brow bone or the inner corner of the eye. For a smoky effect, use the matte and pearlescent colors together. Always start with a small amount of product and build up as desired. To remove, use a makeup remover or gentle soap and water.

**Q: Do this work with a sharpener?**
A: I d don’t believe they can be sharpened and they do not swivel either. I broke one open and it looks to me that we get to use only the point that is showing. However, for 50 cents each, I guess that is all you can expect.

**Q: Are these glitter or matte?**
A: These color have a hint of shimmer. I love it because sometimes I like to wear something other than matte and I’m not into full glitter. So this product is ideal.

**Q: What kind of sharpener you suggest?**
A: I used my normal make up sharpener.

**Q: some say you can sharpen it and some say there's nothing there but the tip, nothing to sharpen - can a few of you give me more info to know the truth?**
A: I love these pencils. They are soft, easy to apply and are relatively water resistant. You can sharpen them but because they are so soft, sometimes the tip breaks off and have to be sharpened again. Try not to put too much pressure on the pencil and it seems not to break off. I will purchase these again. Hope this helps.

Creamy formula is decently pigmented. It can smudge, but doesn't easily migrate, you do have to rub it firmly to move it. Mine are labeled as eye and lip pencils, and the formula does work as either. I even experimented with using a shade all over the eyelid as a shadow, which worked OK, and I really liked the dramatic blue color. These are fun to play around with and well worth the price I paid for them. They are a great way to experiment with bold colors to see what you like.
