A: This isn't a calligraphy pen. This is fountain pen with a fine point. However if you purchase one with a stub nib, oblique nib, or broad nib you can do calligraphic effects with it. Kaweco also does make pens specifically for calligraphy. That being said, this pen uses standard international short cartridges.

**Q: Can anyone recommend other ink cartridge brands that are lower cost and higher quality?**
A: You can always use Diamine, Montblanc, Faber Castell Standard International cartridges. They all have wide selection of colors and work well with the Kaweco Sport. 🖋

**Q: does the pen come with any ink cartridges?**
A: Yes one cartridge . It may have even leaked (comes from Germany). But that should not deter you - these are standard cartridges that you can buy onAmazon

**Q: Is the ink cartridge that comes with the pen black or green?**
A: The pen comes with one ink cartridge, which was actually blue, but you can buy other ink cartridges in black and green (as well as ruby red, purple, sepia, etc.) from the same brand and from other ink cartridge makers. It’s a cartridge system fountain pen, so you’ll want to get more ink cartridges anyway.

ショート軸の万年筆が欲しくて購入しました。 まず第一印象としては、値段の割に書き味が素晴らしいと思いました。書き味の良し悪しは人それぞれだとはおもいますが、個人的にはインクフローも丁度良く、サリサリとした感触で書いていて心地よいです。何より非常に軽量なので速記に適しており、高校生の私もメモや計算に愛用しております。 私のおすすめの使い方は、この万年筆に別売りのクリップとコンバーターを付けて書く事です。もちろんこのままでも軽量で書きやすいのですが、上記の金属パーツが加わることで絶妙な重量バランスが生まれ、より少ない筆圧で書けると感じます。 購入する前は初めての海外製万年筆ということで少々不安がありましたが、そこは流石世界で愛されている老舗メーカーといったところでしょうか、軸の仕上げもキレイですし、他の方の投稿を見てみても目立った個体差はあまりないようです。「海外の万年筆ってどんな感じなのかな？」っという感じで試しに購入しても安心出来ると思います。 長文失礼致しました。
