I have monkey balls in my yard that I am thinking about using this for. Do you think they will fit through the hose without clogging it up?

I really don’t know if monkey balls would clog in the hose. I am very surprised after reading all these replies the number of people that don’t know what monkey balls are! Certain trees produce them. The ones that fall off the trees around here are brown with sharp spikes all over them.

Can it clean carpet and retract the water

It can suck up water, but it doesn't have the capability to clean carpets. There's no brush.

Can you use the blower unit while on the bucket so that you don't have to carry the blower?

The top part detaches from the rest of the unit to become a very efficient blower
