Also, at this price point I don’t mind how much I abuse them. Would buy again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by C***R on 14 December 2023* I bought these based on several reviews saying that the ankle support was good. I love to hike but I have chronic ankle instability which can cause me a lot of joint pain and limits the distance I can walk. I was a little nervous about purchasing shoes on-line because I have trouble finding shoes that are comfortable for me. These boots are really nice and well made. They have good traction on the hiking trails and the ankle support so far is wonderful. I do have a little difficulty getting into them because they are so snug but once in they feel pretty good. Ordering a boot hook to help with pulling them on should solve this small problem. I have been on several hikes so far and my ankle and joints have felt great even after a longer hike when I am usually limping back to the car I am still steady on my feet and feeling pretty good. The only issue for me is I wear a size 10 and that is what I got. When hiking downhill my toes bang into the front of the boot and this can be very uncomfortable and a real problem for people who go longer distances. I only have this problem when going downhill. So I suggest going up 1/2 size from what you normally wear. Unfortunately for me they don't make these in a 10.5. I am a little concerned that going up a full size will lessen the good support on my bad ankle.
