These are very sharp knives as she actually cut herself just barely touching the edge as she was trying to place them in the case that comes with the set. So yes, very sharp. She does state that the case is somewhat flimsy and not big enough as she could not close the case trying to fit the set inside it, so she will be looking for a better case to contain the set. But she does give the knives a 5 star rating for their quality and beautiful design, the gloves are a good large size and well made. Great purchase for the price.

These knives are super sharp and durable. Recently cut a turkey in half with the cleaver. Cut right through the breastbone and the back. Super impressed
