Dr. Paine is very bright, very capable, I've heard several of her lectures, but this is the first book of her's that I've read. It is simply excellent, I cannot recommend it enough for clear, detailed and concise analysis, based on excellent sources from the cultures involved, not only from second-hand American sources. Highly Recommended!
