As it has dulled, the performance become unacceptable. So I bought this cutter mainly to get cleaner cuts in cable that needs to be fed through holes, ferrules, etc. It works great on 1/8" stainless steel aircraft cable! I have not tried it on anything heavier yet, but it goes through 1/8" like butter, and leaves perfect ends.
