The cover is a soft silicon case much like I have on my iphone. It covers the entire ipad including the edges. It does have a hole for the camera. The front flap provides auto shutoff and can be flipped back and folded to provide a stand.The "be careful" part: Most listings that contain various colors mean that the (same) item is available in different colors. This one listing however has various sizes as well as colors. So read each page carefully.
