The outer-design of our bowl is made up of 3 parts: the bowl itself (which is one solid glass piece, so the food inside does not come in contact with anything in the handle), the base (ring at the bottom), and the handle. Because of small gaps, it is possible for water (or even food) to become trapped inside. For a step-by-step instructions on how the bowl parts can be disassembled see below: Take the blade out of the bowl for safety (remove blade cautiously, as it is sharp) Put the bowl upside down Disassemble the plastic bowl base (simply unclip it) Put the bowl right side up again Using a thin knife blade or flat head screwdriver unclip the bowl handle from the inner top portion of the bowl.
