The inside compartment is very long, but not as wide from front to back as I had hoped. The advantages of a smaller zipper and not as wide main pocket is that it is lighter weight, excellent for runners. For daily use as my main fanny pack, I prefer the competitor due to larger main pocket and longer zipper. I used it all summer while working a summer camp. The color was true to picture. By the end of the first week of use the fabric between the back pocket and front pocket ripped and became inconvenient as things put in the back ended up in the front at times. I worked through it through the remainder of camp but threw it out at the end of camp. I would consider repurchasing...
