Try as I might, I couldn't get it to hold. A co-worker, who also has a pond, told me about these fittings. Once I saw the price, I ordered a set instantly (coworker thought they were about $100 a set so I was pleasantly surprised) anyway, I hooked up this set, and a month later haven't had a problem. Note, I bought the other end of this coupling as well as the male/female reverse sets of these fittings, so I'm re-posting this review on all of them. Note, this piece specifically was one of the pieces I didn't use but it was of the same quality as the female piece I did use I think they're interchangeable depending on your situation.
