For those wondering about the heat level, it’s not as hot as el yucateco, but significantly hotter than regular cholula. Also noticeably hotter than Valentina extra hot, as well as regular Tabasco. Not as hot as Tabasco habenero. To my taste, it’s approximately as hot, when used like most people use salsa, as eating a very hot jalapeño or a regular Serrano raw. It’s my new go to mex style sauce for burritos, tacos, and many other things when I really want to pour it on. For everything else, el yucateco or Malinda’s habenero still reigns supreme delivering both flavor and heat. Although Malinda’s ghost pepper sauce has quickly started replacing the regular habenero.
