So we decided - why not? There are so many interesting things to carve from wooden cubes, so we added the Whit Ring Kit. Review: Ich schnitze seit vielen Jahren, fast alles aus Lindenholz, normalerweise hole ich mir größere Blöcke im Holzfachhandel und fertige größere Skulpturen. Hier habe ich jetzt mal etwas Kleines probiert. Wer das Schnitzen mal probieren will, oder gerne kleine Figuten schnitzen, der findet bei BeaverCraft das passende Holz. Da sind keine Astlöcher, oder andere Fehler im Holz. Perfekt. Eine nette Zugabe ist der Link auf Vorlagen und Schnitzvideos. VIele der Vorlagen sind, naja, einfache Skizzen, aber immer von den drei benötigten Seiten. Gut so. Wer sich mit dem Schnitzen nicht auskennt: Lindenholz ist das beste Einsteigerholz, es fasert nicht und ist sehr weich und fehlertollerant. man kann feinste Schnitzereien fertigen. Aber Vorraussetzung ist ein wirklich gutes und scharfes Schnitzmesser, dass regelmäßig nachgeschliffen wird. Ein billiges Messer wird zu schnell stumpf. Und ein stupfes Messer ist gefährlicher als ein Scharfes. Man braucht mehr Kraft und rutscht schneller ab. Spaß macht es auch keines, weil das Messer einfach nicht durch das Holz gleiten will. Also wenn mit diesem Holz das Schnitzen nicht klappt, dann liegt es nicht am Holz ;-)

Ich schnitze seit vielen Jahren, fast alles aus Lindenholz, normalerweise hole ich mir größere Blöcke im Holzfachhandel und fertige größere Skulpturen. Hier habe ich jetzt mal etwas Kleines probiert. Wer das Schnitzen mal probieren will, oder gerne kleine Figuten schnitzen, der findet bei BeaverCraft das passende Holz. Da sind keine Astlöcher, oder andere Fehler im Holz. Perfekt.
