Tree thickness is side of a beercan or tuna can. thanks** A: It is not effective when applied to the ground. It binds to the soil and decomposes before the roots can absorb it. You have to cut the tree down, drill holes in the stump, then pour this into the holes. You may need to repeat after 24 hours. But eventually it will die. I have successfully done this on 2 trees larger than yours. **Q: Is this effective and safe for weeds, thistle, dandelion in juniper horizontalis, i.e. h. Wiltoni?** A: I can says for sure that it is effective for common flower bed weeds, but I'm not sure of the types. I’ve been trying to kill these briars for the last 20 years. I’ve tried everything. You were supposed to mix just a little bit and think about an ounce in a gallon of water. I mix three times as much as I was supposed to in a gallon of water. Bought a $20 sprayer and went out and sprayed the briars. They are never coming back. This stuff is amazing. The one thing I will say is do not spray it near a tree if you live in the woods. If you get close enough to big tree, I do believe it would kill a big tree.
