It’s very soft, and though it came tightly wrapped (vacuum sealed) it puffed up nicely. The only thing I thought strange is the bottom and the sides are not flush, so when my cat steps in it, it’s almost like a wobbly bowl (see the bottom in my 2nd picture). It hasn’t deterred her, and she seems to love it, she sinks in and gets comfortable right away. It might not be the highest quality, but you really can’t beat it for the price. For reference, my cat is medium to small size, and weighs about 11 to 12 lbs.
