Review: Light output is nice, installing shades is simple. 3 of 4 had the clear plastic fall of their tracks and slip on the tracks that hold the shades, which impeded the shades from sliding on. A phillips head screwdriver and 15 minutes solved that, but keep that in mind when you buy, you might have to pop off the ends and fix the track. They seems to pop off easily, but it's not an issue once the shades are on. These will just barely fit in my 48" tent, and it presses against the sides a bit. If you have a more rigid tent or hard sided enclosure, it might not fit. Been running for almost 3 months, 12 hours a day, with no issues. Inside of the tent gets to about 25C, ambient around 20C so they're not super hot. The extra bits to connect them end to end is a nice touch, even if not needed right now. It only has 2 plug cords however. Not a big deal since they're all on or off, but if you wanted to turn them on/off separately, you'll have to do 2+2, or 3+1. Overall, good product. Happy with output and performance, especially at this price. The lemons and herbs love it, and the seedlings are growing nicely.
Review: If you want the quick answer, these lights are great and met all my expectations. With that said, I am not a scientist. I have not measured the lumens, color intensity or anything else. I am a simple man. Weather this spring has been very strange. My potted plants needed some sunlight and the weather was just not behaving. So I purchased this product. NOW, I was intending on buying a different light, but saw in a review that they liked the Barrina lights better and I think were talking about something functional about the light that I didn't have the tools or practical experience with. Therefore I purchased the Barrina LED set of 4 for a few dollars more. INSTALLATION There are a few installation configurations (flush mount, hanging mount and adhesive) which are all provided with the packaging. I didn't use the flush mount mount or adhesive, because I was looking to suspend the light down towards the plant. I needed hanging mount for my configuration and after measuring 6" from both ends, the clamp just clamped in place. Good sure feeling when it was together. They also included several tie wraps that are long enough to suspend the light from its mounting location if you want. In both of my configurations, I had a 2x4 that the unit was going to hang from. I measured things it out, installed the hooks on the 2x4 then hung or suspended the 2x4 in place. Finally, I used the tie wraps to connect the light to the hooks. A great thing about this unit is that it is light weight. I recognized this from the front (of course), yet with the first two lights, I mounted them to the 10ft 2x4 before suspending the 2x4. It worked well, but when I got to the second set, I just mounted them with the tie wraps. If I would have done this with the first mounts, it would definitely would have been easier. Talking about 2 sets of lights, two sets of cables that you plug in to the wall outlet and a cable that would allow you to have all the lights in parallel. So this allows you configure two different light configurations. The plug end has a switch so you can turn the light off using that switch. BRIGHTNESS I was sitting in my garage, calming from a busy day, watching a show on the first night. It was the last day of April and I tend not having clocks around. Hey, I'm retired; lived with clocks all my life...why be on the clock when I retire. I was starting to feel a bit tired, but the sun was still bright out. Man, I must have really worked hard today...then I noticed that through the window, it was full night, but the lights were on so it looked like daylight. For me, that was a good indicator that there is enough light coming from this. VALUE FOR THE MONEY I searched big-box stores and plenty on desertcart for lights. Grow lights are more expensive than conventional lighting and LED lights are more expensive than fluorescent lights. Also, this world has gone a bit crazy with higher costs, so any videos or articles that you might encounter that says a price, the price is likely higher now. But using simple math (with unrealistic numbers), showed me that I was money ahead with this configuration than trying to put something together on my own. AND, I personally really really hate the buzzing noise of fluorescent lights...it's like finger nails on a blackboard.... So this was a really good deal. Then add in that all the mounting was provided in the packaging. Its a good deal. So the manufacture deserves a solid 5 stars.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the Kelvin number? I need grow lights that are good for microgreens.**
A: Short answer: These lights will work well for your microgreens.

For microgreens and most plants, the Kelvin number is less important than the PAR output. (PAR = Photosynthectically Active Radiation) I bought some of these lights to test them and I have tested the entire Barrina line of LED lights for PAR output including the shop lights. All them will work for you. I did not test for Kelvin output. The specific frequency output on which the Kelvin rating is based, is provided as a graph by the manufacturer on the product page. But if I had to guess I'd say the output was 5,000 Kelvin or lower; so it's a relatively warm colored light which might be good for your purposes. Some researchers have gotten very high microgreen yields using lights with a higher red to blue ratio. My family grows microgreens and other crops commercially and we use Barrina LED lights almost exclusively. These lights will work well for greening your microgreens, but we actually don't even bother with lights specifically marketed as grow lights for our microgreens because we found that nearly any lights are adequate for that purpose and others are less expensive. We use the cheapest Barrina general utility strip lights and they work great. The specific lights we are presently using for our microgreens is the following light which has a kelvin rating of 6,500 which is a bright, cool white that is higher in the blue range: https://amzn.to/2QDJ2HW We use 4 or 6 of these about 10" above four 10x20 flats of microgreens on 48"x18" wire shelves. I recently began removing the diffusers from these lights because doing so more than doubles the PAR output making them more useful for our vegetable and flower seedling starts, but be advised that doing so absolutely voids the warranty. I don't care about the warranty. I've been using these lights for more than a year with no problems whatsoever and they are cheaper than dirt to replace in any case. If you remove the diffusers, just don't get any water or dirt on the LEDs.

**Q: What is the umol/j**
A: If you look at the last image it has a chart showing the umol at different heights. But I would be careful place them to close in a real world situation depending on the growth stage of that plant you could cause some leaf burn. These are very powerful lights in small foot print. From my experience with these lights I went down 10" . I've tried it to get to around 150 umol/m2/s aka the sweet spot, but I noticed right away by examining the leaves under a loop I had an issue. I hope this has helped. So I just stick with 12" just to be safe.

**Q: For starting seedlings, is one strip enough to light a 4' x 2' area or should I use 2?**
A: I have them, and I would use 2 to keep the plants from "leaning".

**Q: Is this really full spectrum or just 6500K**
A: Dear customer,
These lights are not 6500k. They are full spectrum. The spectrum is different from shop light. Our listing shows the spectrum graph. Please check. Thank you so much.
