Made in Japan, a mattress made by Japanese craftsmen in the traditional methods from the place of the futon. Fabric: 100% Cotton Filling material: 100% polyester, quick drying 5-ply mattress

Review: I received this product and immediately tried it as a futon. Despite its thin appearance, the balance between firmness and softness was just right, and I didn't feel any strain on my body while sleeping. When actually sleeping, I laid it on top of a carpet. Whether laid directly on the floor like in Japan or used with a bed frame, it seems comfortable to sleep on either way. The size is Twin (100cm x 200cm), so it's a perfect size for one adult and one child to sleep on. My child also liked this new, fluffy futon. This futon is made in Japan, with very beautiful stitching and no fraying or damage. However, since it cannot be washed or dried, I plan to use a waterproof bed cover to prevent it from getting dirty.

**Q: Question for manufacturer: Does this floor mattress use flame retardants? If so, what does it use. If not, why not?**
A: Our product does not use retardants.

**Q: Do you hang the futon to dry daily with the cover on or off?**
A: Please dry the FUTON with the cover attached.
Wash the cover only if it gets dirty.

**Q: If you sleep on it the first day, will it stop expanding?**
A: Once FUTON is fully expanded, we recommend using it.

**Q: I just got this and found out it’s not flat - there’s a pretty big ‘ridge’ in the middle because it was folded in the package. Does that go away?**
A: Make sure you lay your mattress out for a few days before you use it, that will puff it up more.  Yes, the ridge goes away in time.  Mine has no ridge at all now.

Amazing Japanese mattress!! I have been sleeping on floor mattresses for over 10 years. This futon took comfort to the next level and made for a happy sleep！ Folds up super easily. Very well made. comfy, but it had such a smell that I had to air out for a week or two. A strong chemical smell was present when I first bought it. Overall, comfortable on top of a squeaky firm twin mattress. Helped my quality of sleep.
