Firstly it is a nice looking bread knife, and feels solid and quite comfortable in the hand. The blade is quite sharp and I have actually cut myself with this serrated edges because I was not paying attention to the deceptively sharp edges. I have no problem cutting breads, I have a tendency to cut at an angle and this knife allows me to cut at an angle and keep a straight line all the way. One small not is after putting in the dishwasher we did find the rubber around the handle seems to shrink just a fraction, enough that I could feel the difference between metal and rubber.
