## Overview

The RecorderGear TR600 is a versatile, standalone phone call recorder compatible with analog, IP, and digital lines. It offers automatic and manual recording modes, 16GB expandable loop memory, and time/date stamped files for easy organization. Playback is available via built-in speaker or SD card on any Mac or Windows device without additional software. Caller ID display and dedicated Windows software enhance call management, making it ideal for professionals needing reliable, hands-free call documentation.

## Description

The TR600 phone call recorder records calls on all analog, IP or digital phone lines. Set the phone recorder to automatically record when a call is made or received. Phone call recordings are stored on the included 8GB removable SD card. Calls can be played on the TR600 phone recording device itself or you can remove the SD card and play/save on any Mac or Windows computer; no additional software is required. For Windows users, the included Call Assistant RG software allows you to manage and organize your recorded calls. The TR600 phone recording device is a complete standalone phone call recorder solution, it does not require the use of a computer or additional software. The phone recorder takes less than 5 minutes to set up and then essentially runs on autopilot (when phone calls are set to automatic recording). The time/date of each recorded call is displayed on the LCD screen of the device; alternately, each file on the SD card is organized in chronological order and stamped with the time/date. The loop function ensures that landline call recording is never stopped due to a full memory card; when the memory is full, the latest calls are recorded via the oldest calls on the SD card. The phone number of the incoming calls is displayed on the LCD screen of the TR600 phone call recorder (the phone line must have caller ID). It is not only a landline call recorder, but also can be used as a voice/meeting recording device.

Review: I ended up having to buy this because my portable recorder was having problems. I'm dealing with chronic attacks from telemarketers who are ignoring the TCPA and FTC Do not call lists and I need to gather evidence that will hopefully, once again, be used in court. My old recordings were used as evidence in prior cases so I am well aware of the laws and what a consumer can and cannot do. Your state must be a "one party consent state" - this means that at least one party of the phone conversation must be aware of the recording. The states were both parties must be aware the conversation is being recorded are CA, CT, FL, HI, MD, MA, MO, OR, PA, and WA. As far as the device: It's pretty straightforward. I hooked mine up without even looking at the directions. There's two sets of modular jack inputs so if you saw the bad complaint on here where the person said it would not fit their phone it appears they were trying the wrong set. One set is for headsets and one is for the home phone line setup. The recording is clear and saved as a wav file, which can be played on any Windows version using the default media player. The audio files are sorted in directories by date (every day creates a new folder) and the file name shows the year/month/day/time/phone number. It does this with both incoming and outgoing calls. Once the SD card is removed a loud annoying alarm starts beeping, so it's best to have a spare SD card ready to put in the device when you remove the original one to play on your PC. You can pick up a card reader for your computer for just a couple of bucks and this is the most common style of cards. I've only used it for a couple of days so I cannot attest to the reliability but so far it's been fine. I'm on a VoIP system using ObiTalk and it works on this type of phone system. My only complaint is that I felt the price is a little high.
Review: Manual is confusing in relation to setting up correct recording mode. In some modes only certain options are available. A screen by screen menu addition would have been helpful. Side slider has no click, so it’s difficult to know if you’re in phone mode or source mode, and how these affect being in Line mode or Handset mode. Mine didn’t work properly. The device kept recording even after putting the phone down and this prevented other callers from calling as it just said line busy. The announcement.wav file is not on the website and I still do not have a response to my email weeks later. I created a file of my own but it didn’t work. The manual says it may not work on all systems - convenient. Very disappointed. Resetting time had 2010 as default, which may reveal how old this technology is.

## Features

- AUTOMATIC/MANUAL CALL RECORDING – All incoming and outgoing calls can be set to record automatically. In manual mode, you can choose to record only certain phone calls with one click of a button. The TR600 is an upgraded model from our popular TR500 model.
- COMPATIBLE WITH ANALOG, IP, AND DIGITAL PHONE LINES - The TR600 can not only record on analog phone lines, but also record on digital and IP phones, which makes it different from our TR500 model. Time/Date Stamp - The time/date of each shot is displayed on the TR600 screen. Each file on the SD card is organized in chronological order and time/date.
- Loop Recording/Expandable Memory (16GB included) - Recording is never stopped due to a full memory card; when the memory is full, the latest calls are recorded on the SD card via the oldest calls.
- External speaker/computer playback: playback your recordings on the external speaker. Remove the SD card and play the recordings on any Mac or Windows computer; no additional software is required. Voice/Meeting Recording Mode: Works as a regular voice recorder for recording meetings/lectures.
- Caller ID/Assistant RG software: displays the caller information on the LCD screen (Caller ID must have phone line enabled). Stay organized with Call Assistant software (Windows users only); manage and organize all your recordings.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Comcast (digital) service means i have to connect between phone & handset, right? but my phone is cordless. so how do i connect the tr600?**
A: My phone is cordless and it works great. You just plug the line from the wall into the machine and then from the machine to the base of the phone.

**Q: How do i switch to english. which button is settings? its all in chinese.**
A: In order to switch back to English you'll want to follow these instructions:
Click the top right button once, click down once and select that with the top left button. Then scroll down when you see the two short characters ( down 5 times) hit select again (top left button) then scroll down to English and his select again.

**Q: How long of a timeframe does an 8gb sd card give you before the recording loop? (Average). Need to know if i need to purchase a larger card.**
A: We haven't used ours all that much yet, but one of the other reviewers (Bill y) said: "It works as advertised and records around 500 hours on the accompanying SD card. It will use anything up to a 64 gig card so that works out to 2,000 hours." Another reviewer said they had only just gotten their recorder, but that they had successfully recorded an hour-long interview, which gives an idea of how long you can go on the batteries. Hope it helps!

**Q: I'm using this via the handset and there is a loud interference sound and the other caller is very low volume. Can this be fixed?**
A: Soundslikesomethingisn'tpluggedincorrectly.
