These are nice looking and fairly quiet. I've never used the remote. I just set it and forget it. The only time I need to adjust these is when I switch from AC to heat with the changing of the seasons. When my furnace kicks on, the booster fan kicks on and increases the flow of the heat into the room, and vice versa.
