A: No , this is a modified sine wave inverter.

**Q: Does it power a 6.5hp shopvac drawing 12a? Wattage would be 120v*12a = 1440w. Would it hurt the battery if the car engine is kept running?**
A: forgot about the battery,
at 1440 watts that's like 120 amps at 12 volts, probably higher with all the losses from connections, cables, etc..
it could destroy your alternator or smoke some of your wires if they arnt up to the necessary size to handle the load.

**Q: My potek 3000w unit keeps beeping continuously. Even when I power it on and off. Any idea?**
A: Well I don't know if it is the same isue but if you have any cable loose the unit will beep on telling some wires are loos.
The other can be to much energy that is withdrawn from the battery. I use so to shut off beeping I conecct more devices to compensate..
