You will need to remove the shield covering the primer solenoid on carb and make sure the hose clamp on fuel line is positioned in a manner to avoid contact with engine block. This will allow carb to be mounted without binding and possibly damaging carb. **Q: Will this fit M2.5A?** A: Yes. **Q: This looks like the same carb part number that is on the ns9.8b engine. i installed and it overrev's then dies. can you confirm compatibility?** A: The Carb I purchased was not adjusted correctly. The idle port was tuned way rich. It did the same thing you described as the engine flooded. I had to close the rich/lean adjustment several turns before the engine would stay running.
