It is also a fairly short entry in the series, with a much shorter campaign length than normal (even for a portable title) and fewer temples. It would be reasonable to ask, why even get a guide for this game? Is it worth it?In short, yes, it is certainly worth it. The official Nintendo guide for the Minish Cap is, to put it succinctly, very well written and enjoyable to read. It is also incredibly concise. It may be because the Minish Cap is a smaller, more concise game, but the guide here is very short. The instructions to get through the first temple literally takes up two pages, that's it. Of course, the other temples may take up more space, maybe two or even three times that many, but that's still quite short for a Zelda guide, especially if you're used to the Prima Zelda guides. Worry not, however, because the guide tells you everything you would ever need and/or want to know, including every collectible and extra the game has to offer. At the back of the guide are various checklists for different important items, and there is an entire section purely devoted to the interesting kinestone mechanic present in The Minish Cap. Also worth noting by itself is the exceptional job they did on the maps. The maps are incredibly detailed, very well labeled, and tied in with the text of the guide super well. It all comes together masterfully into one fantastic package.I always prefer to use guides only as a side reference to make sure I didn't miss any collectibles or special activities in a playthrough of a game, and especially so with Zelda titles. This guide was perfect for that. It was very clear, very well organized, and exceptionally detailed without overdoing it. This is a fantastic guide for a fantastic game. It just makes me sad to know Nintendo doesn't put out their own guides anymore. I only paid $18 however, and right after purchasing the price for this guide shot up to $45-85 dollars average. Soo...
