This is an old favorite brand
I need a travel set of lip color and this fit the bill. Good colors, great feel, and it stays on.

Lighter than the photo, needs a brush
I haven't had a Borghese lip color in a while, so I was stoked to try this lip palette. These are colors that will look good on a variety of skin tones and you can mix them to get different shades if you want. I'm not too crazy about the brown, but when mixed with one of the other colors it's good to go. These are creamy, pigmented lipcolors that I would call neutrals-- they're not as colorful as they look on screen and they will last for a while before needing a touch up.I do have a nit to pick, here. Borghese is a supposed to be a prestige brand, or at least it used to be. I can't believe they've listed instructions on here to put this on with your fingers and didn't include a brush with the compact. I mean this is a compact for grown women, not Lip Smackers for little girls. I don't want to walk into a meeting and have lipstick all over my hands, and we all know what happens to loose brushes that we throw in our bags. Lipstick belongs on my lips and on my husband's cheek, not on my fingers.

Beautiful Palette of Colors with a Matte Finish That Doesn't Feel Dry or Heavy
This has a beautiful palette of lip colors. There's a light brownish peach tone, a brownish mauve, a medium pink, and a dark pink (almost fuchsia tone). It's difficult to choose which one is my favorite, although it's probably the two pinks, which are both really pretty. I actually really like the texture of this lip color. It's easy to apply and has a matte finish, although my lips don't feel dry which sometimes happens with other matte lips colors that I've tried. The one thing that would have made this perfect is a small lip brush that can fit inside the compact. I have plenty at home, but if I want to take this on the go, I have to carry a separate brush with me, because this doesn't already have one. Other than that, it really is a pretty palette of lip colors. The tones make a statement, but are still subtle in their own way. I also love the fact that this offers a matte finish that actually moisturizes rather than being too dry or heavy. Now if only I could find this same product in actual lipstick form.

If You Cheer for Sheer
*Natural, Sheer ColorsThis Lip Quad from Borghese is packaged nicely, with a full mirror, and snaps tightly closed. So there's no need to carry an extra mirror and no worries about tossing it into your bag. The colors appear much, much darker inside the pallette case. The lipsticks are natural colors that go on sheer. They have to be mixed and heavily layered to attain a color. The drawback to layering is it begins to crumble. I mean it looks like there are teeny tiny "balls of lipstick" on my lips - which is not a good look. When I simply mixed the colors and applied (without trying to make it darker), the lipstick went on smooth. It never felt sticky and lasted a couple of hours. I tried using my finger to apply - this was fine at home, but not so great on the go. I dug a few brush and found this to be a much cleaner, faster, and easier means of application. It would be nice if this quad came with an application brush and had a 'slot' on the case to store the brush. The colors in this quad have lots of goodies for your lips. The Jojoba, Grape Seed Oil, Vitamins E and C help hydrate lips. Sunflower seed Oil helps to prevent chapped lips. They also contain Avocado Oil, which is full of antioxidants. If you are looking for natural colors that go on light and sheer this quad is perfect. If, like me, you want deep, rich, highly pigmented lip colors this particular palette is not going to work. Also it should come with a travel size lip brush and the case should be redesigned to store the brush. Or at the very least have a matching brush available for purchase with the quad. This would make it more appealing.*Bottom line- if you wear natural, sheer you'll like it. If you like natural, deep color this is not a good choice.

Drying, Compact Difficult to Open
I used to buy Borghese products all the time especially lipstick but got out of the habit when they discontinued my favorite color so I was excited to try them again. I wasn’t thrilled. The compact is difficult to open and I usually manage to get some on my fingertips or under my nails in the struggle to open it. It has a mirror which is a nice feature. I also like three of the colors. The top two are neutrals with a good balance of brown and reddish undertones but the top left one is so light it almost comes across as frosted. The bottom two colors are great but none of them stay on very long and they’re all drying which is the biggest negative. I don’t remember dryness ever being a problem in the past so I wonder if this product is an isolated issue. It’s nice to be able to carry four colors in such a small space however.

Great color selection for me
I love this little lip gloss compact. The product is creamy and can almost be worn as a color balm. The shades can be used straight or blended. I wish that a wand was included as then the collection would be complete. It comes self contained with a mirror. I used to carry a compact with powder insert but I no longer use colored powder so I'm often without a mirror. The gloss, though long lasting, does need to be applied several times a day. It's creamy but does not clump. Very nice product.

Where's the Lip Brush
As a teen, my big sister introduced me to Borghese cosmetics and facial care products and I fell in love with them until they discontinued my favorite lipstick color and pencil liner. Now that I'm in the 21st century, I tried the Lipsquad Palette, which have all the colors that accommodate my brunette hair, brown eyes, and beige skin, and I can tell you that the quality is the same that I fell in love with years ago. Since the palette has colors for both day and evening wear, I wish it came with a travel lip brush so I could easily touch up during the day. Adding a lip brush would boost the cost of the product (I know, I know), but just saying.
