The quick-change design works just as advertised. Twist on, twist off, and they lock securely in place. Even at higher speeds on my die grinder, I haven’t had issues with discs loosening. The 1/4-inch shank adapter included in the kit feels solid and makes it easy to swap between my drill and die grinder. Performance-wise, the zirconium oxide discs stand out—they cut aggressively through rust and welds without burning up quickly. The aluminum oxide discs are more general-purpose, great for smoothing edges or stripping paint. The black honeycomb-style discs surprised me with how well they handled tough coatings without clogging. I saved money with this buy! These sand disk are hard to find at the hardware or tool store and when I do find them on the shelf , they are expensive. Works Great for wood projects using an air powered die grinder. Using an ordinary electric drill would be painstakingly slow… They may not last long on metal surface , but that is to be expected. . I use my own shank and have had no problems. So far I only used one sand disk to surface 8 interior door hinge cut outs. I’m Happy with it. And I got plenty disk leftover to last me a long long time.
