Based on reviews, I ordered a large even though I usually wear a medium in these. It was baggy through the bust and shoulders, but hugged around the hips. wanted it to be more snug throughout. I think a medium would have fit nicely though, since the snugness in the hips wasn't so much so that I think a smaller one wouldn't have worked. As it was, it just made me look like I was in a sparkly potato sack. It felt quality with the weight and overall style and there weren't any frayed seams that I noticed. A few comments said the zipper was cheap, but I didn't have any issues with it. This dress looks amazing on and I'm not a small woman. I got an XL and I am a size 14-16 normally, it fit perfect, a tiny bit big on the arms. But really looks stunning on. It has little pearls beaded throughout the dress. My only suggestion is if you are very tall, this dress might not be for you. It's perfect for me at 5 foot 1 inch tall and a little bit short in the back (I have a bit butt though).Hope this helps! I love this dress tremendously. It leaned to red a bit more than I would have liked; I was hoping it was more burgundy (ordered WineRed). However, other than that, no complaints. I danced all night and no sequins or fringes came loose. Many compliments! I got a Medium; I am 5' 1", 120# with the extra weight in my hips but still fit fine. The fringe started about 3" above my knees; however, I had no problems with it hiking up much when I sat down. It is not really fitted in the waist so that will be helpful for some. Almost no "give" at all; not a stretchy material. Having the sequin detail on the back in addition to the front really set it off for me. Most dresses in this style are not like that.
