This is my second pair. I foolishly bought my first pair of these shoes in black from a well known shoe site because I was there looking for something else that Amazon didn't have. Then I found the exact model shoe in grey from Amazon at almost half the price I had paid for the black shoe. Will not make that mistake again. Always check Amazon first! This shoe is well cushioned with removable insole. For my wide foot the toe box is perfect because some styles of shoes with the vinyl decor running up over the toes seem to rub against my top toe area. The simple style of this toe box exterior is perfect. The shoe material itself is very cool and you can feel the breeze through the top of the shoe if you are wearing thin socks. Not sure how these would be in rain since we are not getting much in California. I normally wear a size 9 Wide but purchased the 9 1/2 Wide in this shoe per advice of podiatrist (who only wears New Balance brand for walking or running) as I find that the orthotic I add for plantar fasciitis takes up a bit more room. I think that without an orthotic a size 9 Wide would be perfect so I would say they are true to size. I have regular size 9 Wide foot with wide toe area and narrow heel and very high arches. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ New Balance: a great running shoe *by K***R on January 6, 2015* I own two pairs of New Balance running shoes in different colors and I love them. When I saw the half price Black Friday deal, I grabbed another pair. I wear a half size larger in these than I do in regular shoes, but the fit is perfect. Doesn't constrict my toes, cushions my feet so I can walk for long distances without arch pain. They're also rather stylish. I will definitely buy another pair when these wear out. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cute, Comfy *by P***0 on December 3, 2014* I bought these when they were the deal of the day and am so glad I did! I'm a fan of New Balance in general but find many of their shoes clunky. I decided to invest in some running shoes, though, because I hope to do more of that. Glad I did! These are low profile, very cute, extremely comfortable with the cushioning and breathable upper. As another reviewer said, essentially no break in time (I wore them around the house for 30 minutes before heading to the gym for my usual cardio).
