Keeps hooks from tangling up on multiple baits, as each slot will hold one lure. Larger rattle traps don’t let the lid close. I’m pretty sure I can get more lures in a regular 6 slot Plano 3600 series box, but all the hooks would be tangled. The box has nice little drain holes if lures are put away wet. The only drawback is that there is no handle on the side of the box, one on the end where it’s hidden. Not an issue unless crammed into a tackle bag with other boxes. Simple fix I drilled a couple holes and riveted a piece of leather on for a handle. The large size is roughly same size as a Plano 3600 series box. Great capacity and design. The chambers have a pocket that nest treble hooks on large lures nicely. The tabs to release the covers require a little practice to prevent the hinge of the latch from breaking away from the main box. It works fine once you learn the right amount of pressure to use. It a fits well in the main compartment of a Blisswill Fishing bag. I fit 28 lures (2 per slot)in this box, while I can stuff more in a standard box this box makes them easy to keep separated. The design makes it less than ideal for any other kinds of tackle.
