Either it works or it doesn't. Use Memtest86+ to test DDR2 and DDR3. Version 5.31b is the "latest" version. It hasn't been updated in a LONG time, but that's OK because DDR2/DDR3 is fairly old RAM. Run 2 passes for an initial test. Most all RAM with any problems will fail that 2 pass test (2nd pass is longer/more thorough then the 1st). Then later, run an overnight or at least 6 hour test. The RAM DIMMs I greatly prefer for DDR2 or DDR3 is either Samsung OR Hynix/SKHynix. Of course, whenever possible, use matched RAM. Unmatched RAM can work, but is more of a crapshoot. I'm using it in an older laptop - Sony Vaio VPCF123FX operating Windows 10 (64-bit) Pro. The card was easy to install and my laptop immediately and automatically recognized and used it. I was slightly nervous about compatibility after researching RAM online but my other memory card is exactly the same as this one except for its country of origin and compatibility hasn't been an issue. I ran a Basic Memory Diagnostics check in Windows 10 which found no errors with the memory. I can't wait to try it out with gaming.
