## Description

The autumn flowering sedums are a well known, much loved and widely planted cottage garden plant. Sedum sun sparkler lime zinger is a new introduction bred in the USA. A low growing sedum with very attractive, succulent lime green foliage with a cherry red edge. In august to October it is covered with abundant, large soft pink, star shaped flowers. Sedums dislike wet or waterlogged ground. Avoid this and they will easily grow in any sunny or light shade location. Sedum can be used as good ground cover, in a well drained border, or in a container, such as an alpine trough, or an individual pot. If planting in a pot or other container. Use a good quality john inns compost as this plant will be there a long time and peaty types of compost eventually degrade and become too packed and choke the roots. Adding 20% horticultural grit will help ensure good drainage and applying grit to the top of the pot for the leaves to rest on helps keep the plant in good condition and adds the the aesthetic effect ensure you feed regularly as a hungry plant is a poor performer. We recommend osmoscote pro 8-9 month applied in the early spring. One application gives all the nutrients the plant requires for the whole year. John inns is a soils based compost.
