I first purchased it as a gift for my mother in law who bakes a lot, but once I received it, I just knew I had to have one for myself! It's longer than the regular American style rolling pins we're used to and much slimmer. Once you use one of these pins, I think you will find the style of pin you're used to using just won't cut it anymore. The "rolling mechanism" will suddenly will feel cumbersome and the pin too short. It does take some time to get used to the way it rolls but I'm so glad I took a chance and ordered this as a gift; otherwise, I would still be using and struggling with the other one. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I will say it is a nice looking piece of maple *by G***E on Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2015* I got this for my husband for Christmas so he really has not had too much time yet to try this out.
