I ordered the XL and they fit fairly well when I tried them on. The only real issue I had was I have large calf muscles and even loosening the laces all the way they were a little tight , however I worked them up over my calves and they weren't too bad. I have tall boots I'll be wearing (Ren Fest) so I really just wanted the knee and up to work. I am a little concerned about durability since they're a little tighter than expected given other reviews (I also have fairly large quads). But I think they're good enough to give a go at the fair. The fabric is 70% poly 30% cotton. It's fairly lightweight so I'll definitely be wearing some compression shorts under them "in case". But I think they're worth the price (at $28).
