Do I still need to buy the silver hose to vent outside** A: I would say yes, buy the hose. It comes with a sturdy plastic “hose” that is about 2’ long and connects to the rear vent. It stays close to the unit and does not move “out/away” like the silver hose would to reach your outside vent. I was very easily able to attach a flexible hose to the unit’s hose and it works great. It also comes with a flat, thin board that is to assist should you want to mount your unit to a wall; works like a spacer as it cannot attach to wall without space due to vent. It works well for me! **Q: How does the length of drying time affect the monthly electric bill?** A: I use this very frequently and I barely notice a difference in my bill monthly, maybe $5 more if that!!! **Q: Can a full sized down comforter about: 64” long x 86” wide, dry in it well?** A: It takes work. Got to open it up, pull the whole thing out, reposition so the dampest parts aren't in the center of the bundle, push it back in, restart -- at least 4 x.
